The Corporate Records Analyst assists in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the corporate records management program at Vulcan Inc. Under the general supervision of the Corporate Records Manager, the Corporate Records Analyst is responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of paper and electronic record systems and archiving programs for electronic and paper information. The Corporate Records Analyst will work with business units to implement their records retention schedules and identify ongoing records management requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement policies, procedures, and best practices related to records and information management.
  • Maintain databases, perform indexing, scan documents, and create new file structures.
  • Research client file requests.
  • Assist the Records Manger in the performance of records audits.
  • Other projects and tasks may be assigned.
  • Demonstrate honesty, flexibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments.

Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability
Required
  • Well-organized self-starter who can independently initiate and complete tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility to prioritize shifting priorities as new projects are assigned
  • Communicate appropriately for the task verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
  • General understanding of software application design, testing, implementation, maintenance, upgrade, and system administration processes
  • Ability to move up to 40 pounds with assistance
  • 5 - 7 plus years relevant experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
  • Understanding of archival principles.
Required computer skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • SharePoint 2010/2013
  • Specialized records management systems (examples: Stellet, Zasio, iRIMS, iManage)
Education/certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution
  • Certified Records Manager preferred
