Temporary Contract Position - Financial

Do you know someone with Financial Industry background that is interested in a temporary, 12 month-contract position as a Records Specialist located in Tacoma, WA? Our client is in the financial investment industry and has asked us to locate 3-4 records professionals with the following records related experience and qualifications contained in the job description below. A qualified candidate will have an Associates degree or at least 3 years of records management experience.

Title: Records Specialist - Financial Investment Company

Position Description: Full-Time, Temporary - 12 month contract position (40 hours per week)

Location: Tacoma, WA

Project Description:
This is a hands-on, active position that will conduct a box level inventory of in-active financial records at a professional investment company. This position requires a background in records management, document control, and records classification.

My client is looking for multiple people to conduct the records inventory. The basic steps of the project are as follows.

1. Analyze the content in the box and make sure it matches the description on the label.

2. If the contents or label do not match then re-label the box and enter the data in an Excel spreadsheet or records management software application.

3. Review the contents and label of each box against the corporate records retention schedule to determine the length of time the box should be kept. Record the record retention information in the Excel spreadsheet or records management software application.

Required Experience and Skills:
Experience working with Records Retention Schedules.
Associates degree, Records Management Certificate or higher.
3 years of records or document management experience.
Experience doing a records inventory.
Professional.
Positive attitude.
High integrity.
Ability to focus on details.
Ability to make decisions on your own with good judgment and discretion.
Ability to follow directions and a process.
Ability to use Microsoft applications like Excel or Access.
Conscientious .
Dependable. Must commit to start and finish this 12 month project.
