Brief Job Description: Ecology's Administrative Services Director is currently looking for an Information Governance Manager. This position is classified as Washington Management Service (WMS) Band 3. This position will administer and oversee the development and implementation of business rules, systems, and policies for statewide implementation of records management and information governance, public disclosure, and coordination and tracking of litigation hold activities that are central to the business purpose of the administrative services of the agency. This position is accountable for directing and controlling the Records, Public Disclosure and Library Section by providing expertise over records management, public disclosure, litigation hold and e-discovery, and library issues and through working with the Secretary of State's Office, the Office of the Attorney General, the State Library and other internal and external stakeholders to provide these services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

·         Indirectly managing public disclosure and records management staff across the agency and in all four regional offices. Directly managing six staff positions.

·         Advising executive managers and continually researching, analyzing, and improving processes, systems, and policies related to public disclosure, records management, e-discovery, and library operations.

·         Overseeing information governance across the agency by working closely with the information technology services administrative program.

·         Sets goals and objectives, and establishes and oversees training needs for Ecology staff in all aspects of records management, public disclosure, library services, e-discovery and litigation hold.

·         Being directly accountable for directing and controlling the operation, development, delivery and results of information governance across the agency.

·         Controlling approximately $130,000 of the biennial library operating budget and additional budgetary responsibilities may be added overtime.
